KHL. Barys - Metallurg 4:2 (series score 2-2)
Barys overcame Metallurg in the fourth match of the quarterfinal series of the Eastern Conference of the KHL.
The visitors opened the scoring at the very beginning of the game – Nikolai Prokhorkin scored in the majority. A second before the first break, Matthew Frettin equalized the numbers on the scoreboard with the offense in transition. In the 25th minute, Nikolai Goldobin successfully put his stick under a shop from the blue line, and forced Ortio to capitulate for the second time. Pretty quickly, Jesse Blacker again restored the level score with a shot from the left side.
It all came to a head in the third game period. Roman Starchenko once again capitalized on the power play. And in the last minute, Kirill Panyukov hit the empty goal of the guests, and set the final score.
On March 10, the teams will play the fifth match of the quarterfinals in Magnitogorsk. On March 12, the series will return to the capital of Kazakhstan, where the sixth match will take place.
